Hopefully, stupid/easily answered question. After the most recent autoupdate Sonarr service will not start. Error: The NzbDrone Service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not inuse by other services or programs. I saw a post back in March 2014 with a similar issue and saw that you wanted the user to clear the log and retry to start the service then post the logs. That is what I’ve done along with the log from the 2015.02.07-14.14 Update Log. http://1drv.ms/1A6wpU9 Any suggestions are appreciated. Worst case I’ll uninstall and reinstall but would prefer if that wasn’t necessary. Thanks in advance.
The update log looks clear, could you post the regular log file (in C:\ProgramData\NzbDrone\logs
) as well?
Thanks for your response @markus101, I’ve updated the link with, what I hope is, the most recent log file.
Looks like there is an issue with the config file (C:\ProgramData\NzbDrone\config.xml
) You can delete it and Sonarr will re-create it on startup, which will reset the authentication, API key and port (and a few other settings). Alternatively you can restore it from a backup (C:\ProgramData\NzbDrone\backups
), just replace the config.xml with one from one of the backups.
@Markus101, Thank you very much that worked like a charm! No issues starting the service after I deleted the config file and restored a backup version from March 3.
