I have a bit of an annoying issue which has happened a couple of times this week. First with the Walking Dead and now with Justified.
NZB Drone will grab the .nzb file successfully and send do SABNzbd which will then download successfully only for NZB Drone to then grab the same file again. It’s as if it’s not marking it as complete and therefore looking for and grabbing the file again. This can go on all night and can download the show over 10 times.
Can anyone help?
I actually had this issue as well, not with those shows, but it has happened quite a number of times in the past few weeks.
Historically its been poorly named proper files, if you go to Episode Details -> Activity for those episodes you will likely see Grabbed: “xx.Proper.xx” and then Imported: “xx.xx” (missing the proper).
drone tries to use the folder when importing if its of better quality than the episode, which works as long as the download is being dropped in a folder with PROPER in it.
You can check the full imported path in history (click on the ‘i’ icon on the right side).
If you can provide more details on the path that was imported and the nzb title (PM me) I can try to investigate further.

@5aq1b yeah, that’s it. Do you have renaming on in Sab? (specifically for the tv). The file was dropped in a folder with just the series title, which is usually a sign of it being on.
Turning that off should help eliminate the issue.
I do have renaming enabled within Sab yes. Shall I turn it off and see how I get on over the next week or so? Bearing in mind that this issue only happens intermittently.
Yes, it should be disabled, it likely only happens when its a proper.

So I disabled renaming within Sabnzbd. To be honest, I don’t even know why that was switched on. Probably from Sickbeard days. Anyway…the problem has come back. Although it only grabbed the episode twice instead of like 10 times.

That’s the expected behavior, it grabbed the original release then the proper. If you don’t want proper to download there is a setting to turn it off, on media management settings (advanced setting).
