NOT WORKING update series info and scan disk

Have been using Sonarr with out problems for several years.

Now in the last two days, ‘update series info and scan disk’ is not working, not automatically nor manually.

I have double checked all settings - in fact have made no changes and it was working as recently as this weekend.

there were a lot of christmas specials yesterday and i had to manually download them and rename them since TVDB had one name and the files had others. i actually left both files (one as special and one as end of a series) and neither is being picked up.

If i manually initiate ‘Update Series Info and Scan Disk’ the icon will spin endlessly… only stopping if i restart Sonarr (and the files are not updated in the series)

I added files to a series that existed (Northern Exposure) it was missing half of season 3 and all of 4-6 and all the files are in the correct folder (of which Sonarr found the other episodes for S01, S02 and the existing S03). and nothing is updating.

Rename files is not working either.

i am going to reboot and see if that clears up something.

of course MS wants to install the latest version of windows now… so i will report back after that.

But any hints or tips or tricks or advice would be appreciated. As this is very disappointing .

Along with Plex acting up (they added a scanning process that basically kills my computer by using 100% CPU) to have Sonarr not work either.

ok so the windows update and the reboot did something
cause all is working again.

something must have been hung
