Not scraping combined season premieres (eg: S02E01-02)

Sonarr version: 2.0.0.4472
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 4.6.2 (Stable 4.6.2.16/ac9e222 Tue Jan 3 11:48:26 UTC 2017)
OS: Xubuntu 16.04
((Debug logs)): No logs or errors ATM

Description of issue:

I have Sonarr setup with Usenet and SABnzbd+, with both nzbgeek and nzb.su as the indexers, on Wednesday a season premiere aired, and the initial release showed up on nzbgeek as Show.Name.S02E01-02, but when I ran searches for it on Sonarr it wouldn’t show up in my search results.

I was only able to see old results from NZB.su, however the new releases were on both nzb.su and nzbgeek. I’ve been using Sonarr for about 3 months now and I’m pretty happy with it, but I would like to fix this issue as future season premieres start coming down the line.

Thank you,
EQ

Your indexer wasn’t returning results for Sonarr to process then. It may not properly understand multi-episode files so when Sonarr asks for results for either episode it is returning nothing.

Sonarr would have no issues picking that release name up off the RSS feed (as long as it saw it) though, but without knowing whether it saw it and if it was seen, why it rejected it, there is nothing to investigate. ((Debug logs)) at the time the item was on the RSS feed is the only thing that would be able to show the information required.

OK I can try and dig up some debug logs and see if I can investigate further, at this point because it couldn’t “see” the release at all, I didn’t really see how it would give anything valid on the debug logs.

Debug logs for search won’t show naything because there weren’t any results (they will just reconfirm that), but debug logs from the RSS Sync (when the item was there) is the only thing that will indicate why Sonarr never grabbed it as RSS Sync is how Sonarr finds things normally (as explained in the ((FAQ))).
