Not recognizing quality of 1080p x265 files

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4645
OS: Windows 10 (Latest Insider)
Description of issue:
I am relatively new to Sonarr, I downloaded and configured it yesterday.
I’m very happy with how it works but I have a problem.
The files I already had are being recognized as 720p-HDTV but they are 1080p HDTV x265 files.
In the nfo files everything is correct, but now they are all marked as “Cutoff Unmet”.
Did I do something wrong? From the looks of it, Sonarr determines the quality based on the file size, which is not really a good way to check the quality.
My TV-Show collection is about 1.5TB atm so that’s why I am using x265 files.

It detects it based on the filename, if the quality is not part of the filename it falls back to the extension, .mkv would result in HDTV-720p.

You can override the quality Sonarr has detected the episodes at on the series details page (no way to apply it to multiple series), using Modify episode files for series.

hmm okay, then I guess I will have to do a lot of manual work… :disappointed:
Why doesn’t it check the actual metadata from the file using ffprobe or something similar?

It’s not something we have gotten around to implementing yet.

Ah okay, too bad for me
