Not recognising completed download

On my series list there is always a few episodes that never show as complete. I decided to check why this was happening. I looked at which episode was stuck, checked the torrent client and was shocked to see the torrent on 100% (completed). Then I went back to Sonarr, placed my mouse over that purple progress bar and it showed 100%! Why would the app do this? It doesn’t make any sense. If the torrent is completed, why is Sonarr not recognising it? It bothers me that I’ve been clicking “find missing episodes” all this time trying to make my series complete but the file has actually been downloaded already. What do I need to provide you guys to make a fix for this? Tell me step by step please.

I guess they would at least need the following information:

  • Which torrent client are you using?
  • Do the logs show any warnings or errors? They are under “System”, “Logs”.

I’m using Transmission, it is running on my QNAP NAS. This does not happen to all episodes, it is only a few…

I opened the episode and Sonarr deleted it to import an upgrade. It seems that this could be related?

Oh and yes, the logs. I’m not sure if I still have logs for something downloaded 9 days ago?!

If it’s still the activity queue, the log might still show new items as it might generate errors while running the “Check For Finished Download”.
I have stuff stalled which generates the same error message every minute.

Off-topic:
Are you sure sonarr deleted the file? As the HDTV is normally not an upgrade for a webdl.
If you press on the “?” does it show “Sonarr was unable to find the file on disk so it was removed” or “File was deleted to import an upgrade” as an reason?

I don’t know what happened but since yesterday it just recognised this download and now it shows as completed. Weird… I’ll come back to this thread if it happens again.
