I have some shows with missing episodes, some newly released episodes and some old episodes. Sonarr will sit for days or even months sometimes and never grab the episodes. However, If i go in and manually click the “Automatic search” button, sonnar grabs the episode immediately.

There are available episodes to grab, but sonarr doesn’t grab them sometimes unless i click the automatic search button.
Unless they are reposted they wouldn’t show up on an RSS feed again, so while they exist, Sonarr would never see them.
We do not have any short term plans to search for missing episodes, though we do have some ideas around that.
If Sonarr is missing newly released episodes you’ll need to see if Sonarr has seen releases for those episodes and why they were skipped, which can be seen in the ((debug logs)) during an RSS Sync.
Alright. So if there’s no short term plan for this, could I make a simple request:
In each series view there is a search for missing episodes button at the top in the shape of a magnifying glass.
In the main sonarr veiw that lists all of the series there is a small column with a refresh and edit button. Can you please simply add the series search button there as well so that I don’t have to open every single series and click the search button inside?
I have over 2500 different series and about 100 of them are still missing episodes. I need to be able to quickly scan without loading each series view. The problem isn’t going into the series view, it’s actually reloading the main series list over and over again as with so many in the list it takes a while to load, even in table view mode.
You can search from there and Sonarr will group searches for the same series/season together same as it will when searching from the series details page.
I’m wondering has this been there the whole time? I’ve honestly never seen it or used it before. I feel dumb now. Anyway, thank you markus101, you can close this thread if you like…
