Description of issue: Sonarr does not grab episodes from my indexers unless I manually tell it to do so. It will add them to the wanted list and download them if I tell to search but it won’t do it automatically no matter how long I leave it running for.
Have you read the ((FAQ))? There are a couple entries on how Sonarr finds releases.
I see the RSS running in your logs and releases being rejected for various reasons, if there is a particular entry we should be looking at let us know which one.
Hi Marcus,
Yes I’ve read the FAQ and Sonarr has no issues finding releases when I manually search. It seems to be that it isn’t searching for them by itself?
I’ve just had a look at the logs but it seems to be searching for shows that I haven’t asked it to, Conan, Master of None etc all searched for today aren’t on my list of programmes to monitor.
Is something weird going on or have I misunderstood the logs?
Correct, it doesn’t search, it uses RSS feeds (as explained in the ((FAQ))).
That’s how the RSS feeds work, they contain everything that has been posted recently and Sonarr checks to see if they are things you want, it’s completely expected to see series you don’t track in those feeds. What would be useful to troubleshoot further would be to find something you expected to be grabbed in the logs and see why it was rejected (there are lots of reasons why) and go from there.
Ahh, I understand now. Apologies, I’m pretty new to this!
As I’m not sure what I was expecting to grab at the time of this log I plan to leave my computer on overnight looking for a program that should appear on the RSS feeds during that time. I’ll get back to you with a new log file for you to have a look at.
Thanks Markus!
