Newly added shows not finding episodes

After updating to 2.0.0.3594, any new show I add appears as it it has no episodes (no aired episodes) and an empty schedule.

I checked the logs and there’s a ton of “Task Error: database disk image is malformed database disk image is malformed” issues.

Pasted the content of one of those items here:

Any ideas what I can do here?

Thanks!

Restart Sonarr and check which database is corrupt, if its logs.db, delete it, otherwise if it is nzbdrone.db restore from backup.

Databases are up one directory from log files.

How do I check which database is corrupt?

I get this right after a restart:

Usually its shown in the log files on boot, but since you’re looking at the log database in the UI, I’d say the issue is with nzbdrone.db.

OK, cool - so restoring from backup. Is there a post I can refer to to talk me through this?

There is a wiki page: restore

great, thank you!

If I follow the instructions on how to restore, it restores the database from the backup and I continue having the same problem.

I can’t use the application to do a backup, i click the button and it does nothing. If I completely delete the application, remove the app data directory and reinstall, that works great but all my indexers are gone and so are all my shows so theres a bunch of reconfiguration I need to do. As soon as I add my backed up appdata folder content it’s giving me the same errors.

Is there a way to restore this that solves my “database malformed” problem without having to completely redo adding all my shows and reconfigure the whole thing again?

And what’s caused this?

If you have a previous copy of the database, restore that, if the backup is corrupt you will need to look at recovering it or starting fresh.

Its a SQLite database.

Probably worth eliminating logs.db as a possible cause, seems unlikely, but it could be the cause still.
