Hi, I’m new to Sonarr and I’m enjoying the ease of use, but I do have a question. I’m hoping I’m not being too much of a noob by asking this.
Previously when downloading items from newsgroups, I would download them to a holding area, view them to prove they are good, and then copy them to my final series location. I’m actually wondering how most users do things here. Do they do this the same way or just take what sonarr downloads and allow it to put the files into the final (what I would call it) directory?
So far I haven’t moved any files, but since my holding area is not a huge drive like my final drive is, I wanted some opinions before space becomes an issue.
i just let sonarr move them to their final destination.
the only time its an issue is with the occasional fake torrent.
if youre happy doing it manually then theres no reason to stop. you could use sonarr to import them instead of moving them manually though (the up side there is it will get renamed to the format you set if you want that to happen)
Thanks for the information! I wanted to know how most users actually use sonarr since it appears it could be used to put everything in the final destination and then automatically add new seasons as they appear for series that are not finished. There wasn’t a lot of information about it during my searches, so I appreciate the response!
