So I’ve switched to Sonarr and tried it out for about a week so far. it’s amazing, and I love it. Great job guys!
I wanted to take a second to post a few thoughts regarding things I wish were available in case they haven’t been covered here already.
Task Interval Config - Would be nice to be able to configure the interval for tasks. Haven’t found a way so far via the UI.
Series Aliases - From my understanding, series are recognized based on aliases from TVDB or something similar. The process to update TV aliases don’t always seem to happen for one reason or another. In fact I’ve come across one release where the only poster is using a naming scheme that goes against the standard. It would be nice to be able to edit a TV series on the UI and manually add aliases. At first I figured I figured the tags would work for this, but no joy.
SignalR - I’m not sure if the updates from the download client are coming through signalr or another means, but it would be nice since my dl server and sonarr instance are on the same machine, to have updates real time, or at least 1 second (like the sabnzbd page refreshes every second). Would be nice to see real time updates from my dl client on the activity view. This would also resolve me waiting for Sonarr to finish importing the completed DL. At the moment I have to wait for the 1 minute cycle to loop for the import to happen, where as I’m use to it being instant with the old completed scripts with sickbeard. That last part is just me being a little OCD though and missing the instant action.
Indexers Settings/Restrictions - It’s cool to be able to add restrictions to releases based on tags. But I also found myself wanting to add a restriction to all but a single series. Maybe a anti-tag option here to achieve that would work? Also, I feel like it would be beneficial to be able to add these restrictions at the series level, from the Edit Series UI view.
