Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4260 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): OS: Windows 10 ((Debug logs)) (posted to hastebin or similar): Below Description of issue:
Hey everyone,
I’m new to Sonarr and am having some trouble getting shows/series to download automatically. I’ve searched the forum and other websites, dug through the logs but don’t see anything standing out that’s helpful. My setup is as follows, Windows 10, Plex, Sonarr, CouchPotato, Sabnzbd, NZBGeek indexer and frugal usenet.
Here’s what’s happening, I use sonarr and search for a series, add it and then nothing happens. All series are set to ALL. When I go in to the series I can confirm they’re set to Monitor - both the individual episode and the entire season. I can also see the series in the calendar. I was just poking around and noticed that when I got to the series, select an individual show and select “manual search” No results found". I’m guessing this is why it’s downloading automatically. Almost all episodes say this. Yet when I go to NZBGeek and search for the series I get results. Am I getting this “error” because the show/series doesn’t exist with Frugal?
Something else I noticed, if i go to NZBGeek and search for the show, I can download the NZB and it’ll open/download/postprocess through SAB.
Any thoughts on what’s going on?
The only true way for use to see why its not grabbing them is the see the logs of an RSS sync while something you expected to be grabbed in on there, right now everything on the RSS feed appears to be rejected because the series isn’t in Sonarr, which is completely normal, it just doesn’t help us determine the issue. When a release is rejected it will log a message similar to this:
16-8-3 10:48:13.9|Debug|DownloadDecisionMaker|Release rejected for the following reasons: [Permanent] Unknown Series
Unrelated, but from your logs it looks like you have a series with a number of poorly named files: Hey Dude.
Thanks for getting back to me,
The search is enabled in Sonarr.
Regarding the calendar, that’s correct. Unaired episodes are blue, downloaded are green (there’s only a few), and the missing are red.
All of the failed RSS feeds say “Release rejected for the following reasons: [Permanent] Unknown Series”.
Below is a clip of the debug log, since it’s repetitive I didn’t include the entire log http://pastebin.com/BWAB54cg
Any additional help you could provide about these unsuccessful series would be appreciated.
What was one of the shows in that list that you expected to be grabbed? Unknown Series means the series isn’t in Sonarr or is being released under a name Sonarr isn’t aware of.
I’ll use Flip or Flop as an example since I’m missing the most episodes from it. I do not see it in the logs today, but I do from yesterday. I’ve attached a larger snippet from yesterday’s logs, which contain Flip or Flop. However I don’t see the Debug | DownloadDecisionMaker … entry, if that makes a difference. I’m sure this is pretty remedial stuff, I’m just having a hard time following the verbiage of the logs, so thanks for your time. http://pastebin.com/Mj7ifXBp
Neither of those logs contain any RSS entries for Flip or Flop.
Missing episodes doesn’t mean they will appear on the RSS feed, that will only happen for new releases or things that are reposted. Take a look at the ((FAQ)) as it covers how Sonarr finds things to download and that you’ll need to search for past missing episodes unless you want to wait for them to appear on an RSS feed sometime in the future (if they’re ever reposted).
After reading that and having a better understanding of how the shows are searched/grabbed I think Sonarr is working as expected. I’ve noticed on some episodes I’ll get an error stating ‘missing articles’. From reading some forums it sounds like there could be a few things causing this. Do you think it’s most likely because of a takedown request or the 600 day retention that frugal has?
Either is possible if its less than 600 days old its almost certainly because of a takedown request, if its older than that its probably outside of the retention. You can tell Sonarr you max retention in settings to prevent it from grabbing releases that are too old.
