For the carton “Clarence”, when I go into the series, it shows the last episode as 22, Belson’s Sleepover. But, if I go into SickBeard and add the series, it shows the latest episode was 23, Too Gross for Comfort. Looking around the net, I found episode 23 but not sure when it aired (maybe it didn’t officially air and that’s why Sonarr isn’t picking it up!?)
So why is SB able to know that episode 23 exists and Sonarr doesn’t!?
I’ve have some other weird problems with Sonarr lately like not picking up a show that aired hours ago and when I click the manual search button, it pops right up.
Because Sonarr uses trakt.tv for episode data: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/wiki/FAQ#why-cant-i-add-a-new-show-to-nzbdrone-its-on-thetvdb and SB uses tvdb. Trakt updates shows from tvdb periodically, it just hadn’t updated yet, its there now though.
Without debug logs showing why it skipped the episode we can’t say why it was skipped, could be for many reasons.
It happened again. Bizarre Foods. S09E04 “Factory Food” has already aired (2 days ago) and Trackt still doesn’t have it but tvdb does…and tvdv also lists the next episode as well. Is it possible for the end user to tell Sonarr to use tvdb.com instead of trackt?
No, nor will that ever be an option, trakt does a lot of clean up of the garbage that tvdb allows people to enter, its benefit is quite big, but they seem to be having issues with updating some shows, not sure why, but I’ll reach out to them and see.
Thank you very much for offering to see what’s going on with Trakt!
