i’d like the ability to sort series alphabetized. i know i can aldready do that but actually series titles commencing by “the” are sorted by the first letter of word just after. i find this behaviour annoying.
actually it works like this

The Sandman
Resident Evil
i would like
Severance
Resident Evil

Ignoring a starting A, An, or The of a title when sorting them is generally good practice, treating The Sandman as instead, Sandman, The.
I doubt there is a way to disable this behaviour in Sonarr et al.
i find that annoying that all.
Why sorting titles igniring “a” “the”… is good practice?
With a large enough dataset you would end up with inflated A and T sections, and with pointlessly secondarily alphabetised subsections for all the titles starting with A, An, or The.
Yes. I like the fact that War of the Worlds, The War of the Worlds, A War of the Worlds, etc. are sorted together and I don’t have to remember which articles were used.

i keep my collection tidy so i don’t have the same point of view as yours.
I am not sure what you mean by ‘tidy’ here, given that Sonarr et al keep all of our collections roughly equally well organised.
If you just have a different preference, that’s fine.
