So moving on to the next step, getting ND integrated with my xbmc systems…
I have 3 xbmc systems on the network. 1 system is master and is tied to mysql db server. The other 2 are the passive and read data from the database that is updated by the master.
I take it the master xbmc in this case it the one that ND needs to talk to and keep updated, just as with SB.
Just a bit unclear as how ND interacts with xbmc?
Can it differentiate between which xbmc is the one to receive library updates and ones to just send grab/download notifications to?
in the settings you can select if you want just notifications or notifications and a Update of the library everytime something is downloaded i have a similar setup i have 3 xbmc machines all links with a Mysql Library and i usually only have one machine on at a time so i have all 3 set to update the library so no matter what machine i am using it updates it and syncs across to the other machines
I guess that’s another way to approach it, all of mine stay on. 2 raspberry pis and one old net-book. Net-book is used to keep the shared MySQL updated.
I’m guessing for those that have mutiple setups like this it would be nice to have that option under the xbmc notification config to pass on library updates or not. Maybe bmc has a plugin for one of the other methods of notification now, I just have not looked that far into it yet…
Well heck glad I asked… Need to change my theme I guess, I keep missing that scroll bar, need to make it more visible as I got stung by this before. And I looked at the capture, but obliviously not well enough.
