Multi-episode files not being replaced with higher quality

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5338
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows):
OS: Unraid (docker)
Debug logs:
Description of issue:

Don’t think this is a bug, as it probably would have been reported as such already. But when I currently have a lower quality multi-episode file on my disk, and sonarr downloads 2 individual files of higher quality, they will not replace the multi-episode file. So if S01e1-2 is bluray 720p, and it grabs the entire S1 bluray 1080p release, and that release has e1 and e2 as seperate files it will not swap them out and leaves me with the 720p files instead. All other files in that season are changed, but not the multi-episode files.

  1. Is this a bug or an expected behavior?
  2. Can this be changed in the settings? I have not seen the option.
  3. Is there a way to prefer individual files over multi-episode files or vice versa?

Thanks!

  1. Not really a bug, but not ideal
  2. No
  3. No

It’s a bit of a tricky problem since each file is being processed compared to the others, so deleting and assuming it’ll be handled isn’t something we’re fond of, but we do want to improve on it. It’s complex and uncommon enough that it hasn’t made it to the top of the list.
