Description of issue:
I recently moved from Deluge to QBittorrent and took the opportunity to move my TV library to a new location. I have all of the files seeding again from their new location, and have edited the root folder for each show from the Series Editor page to reflect their new desired location. Now Sonarr is showing 1000+ episodes in the Activity queue with the message “Has the same filesize as existing file”. What’s the best way to handle this?

That means Sonarr doesn’t know it previously imported those files, which it tracks by the torrent hash.
If you want Sonarr to re-import all those files, you’ll need to have Sonarr rescan all series to notice the missing files. At least one folder must exist in the root folder to do that.
If you want Sonarr to ignore those previous downloads you’ll want to put them into a different category that Sonarr is not watching so it doesn’t see them at all.
i didnt think sonarr would see them unless the torrent category matches the category you have in the download client settings.
if you didnt have a category set for that download client then that might explain it. in sonarr set that download client to use a category of sonarr and save it and see if the activity clears up. if you already have a category set then im not sure why it would see them unless you assigned the same category when reseeding?
I’ve always used the same ‘tv’ label/category, but I think I figured it out.
I did try to rescan a couple times, but nothing happened. Logs indicated something about a series folder not existing, so I created one for Adventure Time. Sonarr deleted it on next scan. I looked at Media Management settings and saw ‘Create empty series folders’ and ‘Delete empty folders’ both turned on. After turning off Delete and triggering a new scan, it looks like these folders and links are being recreated and I’m down to about 800 shows in Activity at the time of this post.
Considering this solved. Thanks!
