Doesn’t support .net 4.0, so Sonarr won’t work.
Note: Mono 4.0.0 is not released yet and is currently available in the alpha channel.
Glad I asked first, but it does appear they have turned it loose on my mint desktop 4.0.1, yesterday. And yet another update this morning.
markus - I updated to 4.0.1 today, and sonarr appears to be working. It starts, shows the calendar, manual searches work.
I’ll report back if anything crashes.
Yeah, I’m a little surprised with that… there are a couple others that updated and they have things running smoothly as well. I’m glad to hear its working though!
I breifly glanced at the faq, and it seems mono did not quit supporting things when it moved to 4.
So I’m curious where you read that it’s not supporting .net 4.0?
I found that they had 4.0.1 shown as release, but all the links were to the older version. Change log was outdated. But maybe I was looking in the wrong place.

We had a misunderstanding of what they were actually doing, but that seem to have added:
Note: You can still run assemblies compiled for earlier .NET profiles on Mono, there’s no need to recompile them (they’ll just run on the .NET 4.5 assemblies instead).
to clarify better, which makes sense.
Awesome. I’m going to run on the old kernel for a week and see. If that’s ok, I’ll swamp to the newest kernel & see.
That would be awesome, easier to get people to mono 4.0 than an old kernel I think, so knowing it that would work would be glorious.
So far ok here
