Migrate NZBGet from PC to Synology: possible?

Hello,

I have a Sonarr installation on my PC, with the NZBget download client used in it (with success). I would like to migrate NZB get to my Synology NAS, so that I won’t have keep my system on all the time. It is of course possible to add it as a client, but can I migrate the download queue in Sonarr, and physically to my NAS? Many thanks for the information.

Best regards, and have a good sunday!

For clarification, because I think I haven’t stated my question very clearly: what I am looking for is the possibility to either download the queue of my current NZBget client until empy, but have new requests sent to my NAS, OR transfer the current NZBget queue on my pc to my NAS (whilst moving the temp folder to my NAS). Is either way possible in Sonarr?

I could change the IP in sonarr from localhost to my NAS and transfer the files to the NAS, but will that work?

You can definitely switch to nzbget on the Synology, depending where Sonarr is running you may need a remote path mapping (or to remove one).

You won’t be able to have both enabled in Sonarr and reliably know which one Sonarr will send downloads to, so it’d be best to switch Sonarr to the new client, let the old client finish any downloads and use Manual Import to import any episodes.

Hi Markus,

many thanks for your answer. I think the option to have the old client download the queue empty, manually import the files, and in the meantime add the NAS as a download client will be the best option. It’ll just take a while

Vielen Dank nochmal!

Best regards from Holland
