Mapped network drives help needed

Hello,

I am a new user, well trying to be, coming from sickbeard. I have a windows 7 machine that holds my media. I have another windows 7 machine that is the machine I want to run Sonarr on. My problem is that I can not see my shared media drives that are on the server through Sonarr’s interface. I have read the WIKI and the this section: “Why can’t Sonarr see my files on a remote server?”, and I don’t understand how to either change the Service protocal or change to unc paths. I believe I have unc paths now

on all shares, permissions are set to “everyone” with complete control. Don’t think it is a permissions issue.
Also…there was not an NZBDrone.exe executable in my startup folder until I put it there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

You need to use the UNC path in Sonarr, not the mapped network drive (shown in your screenshot before the drive letter).

This is expected, Sonarr’s default auto start method is via a Windows service, if you want to use the startup folder, stop and disable the service and drop a short cut in the startup folder.

So…I am back to trying this out again and still can not get Sonarr to recognize my network drives. I have googled unc paths and entered what I thought was an unc path into Sonarr and still I get “Path Does Not Exist” error. Could some kind soul enlighten me on what exactly Sonarr is looking for when importing an existing series and how to get the unc path?
Thanks you!
