I’ve added the spanish tv show ‘La casa de Papel’. Main issue is that the spanish version is a 1 season with 15 long duration epsiodes.
The international ‘netflix’ version has 2 seasons with shorter episodes.
tvdb only follows original edition. They don’t care about the international version and don’t want a variant of the tv show. The main issue is that downloaded episoded won’t match the tvdb information and season won’t exist and won’t be downloaded at all.
Is there any way to edit a tv show to remove some epsiodes and manually add a complete season ?
I’m facing the same issue. don’t know how to accommodate this TV show into sonarr.
XEM might not be the answer as the original broadcast of the show is 15 episodes each with 70min.
Netflix then re-edited the first 9 episodes from those 15 into 13 episodes with 50min each.
Took the remaining 6 and called it season 2.
So in essence TheTVDB episode 1 which is 70min long, is equivalent to episode 1 + 20min of episode 2 from Netflix.
Reading thetvdb’s forum post, I don’t see how tvdb 2.0 would fix that. afaik 2.0 allows alternative numberings, not complete remixes with different summaries (which the netflix releases are).
Anyway, there’s nothing you can do about it in Sonarr. TheXEM can’t help coz it really isn’t a numbers mapping.
However, netflix releases in batches, so it’s not like it needs to be downloaded weekly. So just grab the entire part 1 manually, and keep it outside of Sonarr.
