The way I use Sonarr is to click on the episode link, then cut the full path to the file and paste it into the browser address bar to play it with the VLC plugin in a new tab. If you could turn the path into a file URL that would open it in a new tab it would be so much easier. Thanks.
Sonarr isn’t a media browser,
Ever thought using something else to watch your media ?
Perhaps Kodi or off possible set a favorite folder in vlc ?
I don’t think you understand the question. Sonarr isn’t a media browser but Firefox is. Of course I could view them with something else, but that’s not the issue here. Thanks for the information.
Why double post this? It’s not even a day old.

This has been requested before, it will not be added opening local files from web pages is unsupported for security reasons without plugins.
A better question would be why you don’t give users a method of deleting an accidental post with no replies, don’t you think?
You can edit a post if you wanted to change your original post or flag your 2nd post when you realized you had posted a duplicate.
