Kodi + Sonarr's Metadata?

I stumbled on the “Metadata” section in Settings today after I upgraded to the newest version. (Not sure if it was in the last version I used or not)

I was wondering if there was much benefit to use this with Kodi as Kodi does it’s own metadata scraping. Maybe in a situation where Kodi won’t have internet access?

Just not sure if there’s any reason for me to configure this or not. Thanks for any advice.

I haven’t configure it, i let KODI do all the metadada scraping (and it does it perfectly), there is no point of having sonarr do that job.
I guess as you say the only reason is if KODI has no internet access.
