Today I saw the new sonarr maintenance update, and I installed it via the webui of Sonarr. After that he said that sonarr would restart soon, he never did. Whenever I try to start sonarr to run from the package center, it goes to stopped again.
When I check the logging; this is what I see in the last logs:
Sounds like the update was never started, failed before it logged anything (though thats very unlikely) or is in a different location.
Without logs its impossible to say with any certainty what the issue might be, perhaps backing up the data, removing and reinstalling the package is best, steps for this are on the wiki backup and restore.
well it seems that way, the strange thing however is that sonarr did make a backup before installing the update, because in the Backups folder, in the update subfolder, there is a nzbdrone_backup_2015.11.17_21.22.45.zip file
alright, I’ll just back up the entire folder and reinstall like the procedure says, is there any other location I could check for clues ? (or maybe mono logs as sonarr requires this on a synology?)
You could try running it directly through the terminal, but that might not indicate anything if it runs as a different user, the fact that the updater was never started (or never logged at least) is the confusing part, since thats also what stops Sonarr. You could search the system for another update log to check if it was written somewhere else (though it shouldn’t be).
alright, restored the backup via the procedure you gave me, Sonarr is back up and running, however currently no pictures are being loaded and I can’t use the update function in the WebUI, but at least it’s back online again I’ll dive further into it
edit: posters fixed by placing mediacover folder from backup again, I hope this wont have issues with rights?
