Install Sonarr on MacM4

**Sonarr version 3.0.10.1567 **:
Mono version 6.12.0.206:
Mac Tahoe 26.0.1:
Debug logs:
Description of issue:
Trying to point Sonarr to root folder on NAS on my network.

I open Sonar and go to settings => media management => root folders => add root folder. This pops up a file browser and the listing doesn’t show external files so I assume I need to enter something but it’s the format of that “something” that has me foxed. FINDER can see the NAS ok.

Can someone please guide me?

I tried using the smb:// + ip address + share name but no go. Decided to start again. Deleted Sonarr and downloaded:

Sonarr.main.4.0.15.2941.osx-arm64.tar.gz

When I open this, it creates a folder in downloads with a huge number of files but nothing with a Sonarr icon. What is the next step?

Steps for install outlined here

Thanks for the reply fanboy, it got me a little further. I can open Sonarr and try to import my existing series. Here’s where it have a problem. I type in the location as ‘’smb://ipaddress/mymedia/tvshows and it responds with “invalid path”. It is valid, finder knows it. I’m assuming that “invalid” means incorrect format but I’m stuck for an alternative.

Your SMB share should be mounted into Volumes, for example:

smb://server/data is mounted to /Volumes/data

Markus, thanks for responding but this is an external NAS I’m trying to connect to. I understood that mounting was to do with internal drives.

I understand, but no, it applies to NASes as well.

My limited knowledge here but Finder knows about and can access the NAS, does that not mean that it’s already mounted?

You may also need to look into automatically reconnecting. Many people seem to recommend this, make sure to do your due diligence
