Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.5163 Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): Windows OS: Windows 7 Professional N Debug logs: (Make sure debug logging is enabled in settings and post the full log to hastebin/pastebin/dropbox/google drive or something similar, do not post them directly here. Post in .txt not .doc, .rtf or some other formatted document) Description of issue: Integration of existing series - I clearly do not understand something
Setup. Sonarr on Windows 7 Workstation (its actually a VM on ESXi)
Existing data on a NAS
For an example series “The Series” which has 20+ episodes per season and 3 seasons.
I have all of Season 1, most of Season 2 and partially Season 3. All files are called ““Series” S0xEyy”.mkv or mp4
Sonarr can see the NAS - running as specific account as a service. This account has full access, is the same as the normal login account and can see the folders and files
Existing Series is stored on \NAS\Media\Crime"The Series" with subfolders called Season 1, Season 2 & Season 3
I add a series in Sonarr pointing it at the root folder (via UNC) for “The Series” with Monitored - Yes and Use Season Folder - Yes. Series Type Standard and no Tags
Bahaviour expected: Sonarr would find the existing season files across the 3 seasons and attempt to download the missing episodes via the download mechanism
Actual Behaviour: Sonarr finds no files and attempts to download all 60+ episodes (not what I am looking for)
IF you already have episodes of shows then the correct method is to add existing show. This then asks you to confirm the show it detects is indeed the correct show.
Attempt number 3(+)
Doing what you suggested. Sonarr suggestrs completely the wrong series - but I can hit more and then put the series name in under Season 1. This then finds the correct program and puts that season into Sonarr. Other seasons - it complains that the series already exists. So I end up with a 3 season series - with only one season in Sonarr
Don’t drill into seasons or even shows.
You point to the directory where are your shows are stored.
Not deeper down to the show and certainly not to the season folders.
TV Shows>>
Game Of Thrones>>
Season 01
Season 02
Assuming all the above are folder names you point Sonarr to TV Shows.
If all your shows are at the root of your drive I can`t/won’t be able to help.
It’s hard work when I’m on mobile.
If you’re setup is ok Sonarr will then list all your shows and you just confirm each is the correct show.
