"Ignore Deleted Episodes" - Setting Switch

Sonarr has recorded a program according to the minimum quality in the profile. I watch the program and delete it. Sonarr loads it again to replace the deleted version.

I found the switch labelled “Ignore Deleted Episodes”. The “?” indicates that “episodes deleted from disk are automatically unmonitored by Sonarr”.

1. Should this switch be on or off for deleted episodes to be unmonitored?

2. Is there a special way to delete the episodes or does any deletion work? (I typically delete from within Kodi after watching the episode.)

Sonarr will detect it missing on rescan, which will be up to 12 hours after it was deleted (depending when it was last scanned), how it’s deleted won’t matter.
