So my sab has been working great for a year now, but the wife wanted episodes of a housewife Bravo crap. Not too popular on nzb.
So i set up torrents and RSS and i picutred it working as if I go into the show in sonarr, pull a search, and then manually selecting the torrent. Or at least limit the torrent grabber to this show only. It didn’t work like this at all so I gave up but left it configured.
3 days later I check on it, and Sonarr is doubling all my tv shows, grabbing from nzb’s and torrents! I turned off torrents for now since its a low priority, but how can i limit torrents to only run for a specific show, is that possible?
Sonarr won’t grab from both usenet and torrents for the same episode unless one fails (or isn’t imported within 12 hours of being grabbed and it’s still on RSS).
You may need to adjust your delay profile to have Sonarr wait before grabbing torrents though.
You can, set the default delay profile to usenet only and create another delay profile (it will need a tag) and use the same tag on the series you want to limit it to.
I tried playing w/ it w/ some luck, but Sonarr is using Torrents to grab other shows. I only want torrents to work on 1 specific show. Currently in order it is:
Protocol / Usernet delay / torrent delay / tag
Only torrent / - / 20 minutes / (tag of tv show)
Prefer usenet/ no delay / 90 minutes / (no tags)

If I recall tags work the other way around to what you appear to have tried here i.e. you don’t/can’t apply a show’s tag to a profile. So if the new version doesn’t work try creating a new tag on the profile (e.g. “onlyTorrents”) and then apply that tag to the show.
You probably don’t need a delay time on your “only torrent” profile (unless you’re using that in the hopes that downloads will be seeded better). For your use case it would probably only be helpful for a “prefer usenet” profile if you decide to use one (and it sounds like you don’t want to): so that if a torrent shows up first, it’s delayed in the hopes that the download will be available via usenet before that delay runs out.
It doesn’t matter where the tag is created, they’re all the same thing, it just needs to be added to the series and the profile.
That would prefer usenet, but still grab a torrent if it wasn’t posted to usenet within 90 minutes of the torrent being available. Only Usenet as you’re going to try is the right approach.
