How to prevent Sonarr from back filling old seasons?

Hello,

I migrated to Sonarr from SickBeard importing all my shows, and I have many shows that were added after Season 1/2+ because I’ve seen the previous seasons on Netflix and don’t care to have them. The issue is Sonarr is back filling these shows and I don’t see how to prevent it, as I don’t care to have Season 01 of Sons of Anarchy that I’ve already seen on Netflix years ago. In SickBeard it was not an issue because by default SickBeard sets the missing shows to “Not Wanted”.

When adding a new series or importing an existing series choose Existing as the initial Monitor status.

For series that you have already added, go in an manually toggle the monitored status off for seasons you don’t wish to back fill.

Ah, so for series that I’ve already added, if I manually toggle “monitored status” to off it will only affect old episodes and not new ones?
