How to handle shows with mismatched episode numbers

I am new to Sonarr. So far I like it a lot. The one issue I am having is how to handle shows where the season/episode information differ from scene to thetvdb and rage. I have done some searching and reading, but I still am not sure how to make it work.

For example, “American Pickers”. It seems the indexers have this numbered the same as TVRage, but in Sonarr it shows up using theTVdb numbering. When Sonarr searches it can not find any episodes. I think I understand that Sonarr uses theXEM for renaming, but does it use it to match searches?

It uses it when processing RSS feeds, during searches and when importing from your download client (files in series folder are treated as being numbered properly).

The usual issue with these shows is the information not being updated on thexem.de, if you can elaborate on the issue I can give you a more specific response.

Thanks for the reply. I think you have answered my question, but here are more details.

So here are the different listings for American Pickers

TheTVDB
TvRage
theXEM

The latest episode by theTVDB is S2015E16. As seen on XEM, that should map to the scene and TVRage as s07e24. So where Sonarr searches for S2015E16, will it search for the scene/TVRage listing, theTVDB listing or both?

It appears the theXEM was not up to date, I could have sworn it was yesterday. So I have made the edits and I am awaiting the update to the series. Maybe once that is done it will work.

This show is still being named wrong I can’t make a account on theXEM . As it is closed to new users at this time so if someone could report/fix this. I would be most thankful to you.
Thanks Way,

It has been working since my last post. I just checked theXem again and it appears things are sorted out for now. This is just one of those shows I’ll need to stay on top of.
