My old system used to be SickBeard finds nzbs, passes them to Sab. Sab downloads to a temp folder, then tells SB it’s done. SB then renames & moves the files to the correct /media/video/tv// folders.
How do I get this behavior with nzbdrone?
I may have figured this out, now that I’ve found the FAQ. 
The Drone Factory setting. Not a very intuitive name, but that should help me out.
Also, if I’m reading the faq correctly, Drone isn’t very good at getting older episodes? So if I wanted to say, grab all of the X files, I might be out of luck?
Yes, its the drone factory folder that you need to setup, we used a number of different names before and either people used it wrong (in some cases to the point where they caused data loss, or they didn’t find it). The name is intentionally “odd” to attract people, who can then look at the tooltip.
Drone won’t automatically search for episodes, but will find them if they are reposted, of course you could search for them as well, either individually, or by season or series. The missing search page also allows you to search for multiple episodes at once.
