How do I find out why my show hasn't begun downloading?

For some reason lately, only some of my shows have begun downloading automatically. A lot are just waiting in the Wanted queue for me to automatically or manually search.

I’m not quite sure why. What’s the best way for me to figure it out. Do I just have to trawl the logs? Anyone got any good tips on how to follow a process of RSS sync, status, result? Perhaps the logs?

Yup, first enable debug/trace logging in the settings, otherwise you can’t see the actual rss processing in the logs.

Some general tips

  1. Make sure the season and episode are monitored;
  2. Make sure there are no gaps in your rss syncs (sonarr down longer then rss history)
  3. Check the urls utilized manually to verify output.

Thanks. I will try this out. I do wonder about the season AND episode being watched/monitored

sonarr wont automatic search for old episodes. it only automaticly downlaod episodes that it finds in a rss sync.(garbing the newest items from a indexer.)
but you can trigger it automaticly by hitten the search button.

These are shows that air today, yesterday etc. Normally they used to download automatically through my kat.cr indexer but aren’t. I don’t know if they just don’t show up in the rss feed, or Sonarr chooses not to download them.

oh kat.cr, there some problems with that indexer. i think those are already fixed in develop. so it will be in the next update.
but it also a good idea to have more then 1 indexer incase something like this happens

Ah really? That’s good to know. Do you have a link to any announcement or git commit/bug?

I’d also like git commit that mentions this. I’m having the exact same issue (sonarr keeps saying not enough seeders), but then later on when i do an automatic search it finds and downloads without issue.)
