How do I cancel a series search in progress?

I accidentally clicked the search button on a 70-episode series, but I don’t understand how to halt the search process!

There is no way, without restarting drone. Once a job is running there is no way to stop it, we may change this behaviour in the future, but its not something we’re looking at now.
