I have had a look on the forums but can’t seem to find an answer for my question.
As my number of monitored series is growing, is it best practice to use season pass to stop monitoring seasons where I am now happy with the content that has been downloaded (and matches my quality cut off) to reduce the amount of searches sent to my indexers or will sonar only look for missing episodes?
Just FYI: Sonarr doesn’t actively search for missing episodes.
When quality cut-off is met, Sonarr won’t auto-grabs releases.
If it doesn’t show up in Wanted->Missing and Wanted->Cutoff then it won’t be auto-grabbed, period.
(One tiny exception is that Sonarr would still grab PROPERs within a short window of time, but that’s not relevant to the discussion)
So basically, you never really have to ‘unmonitor’ series/episodes. It’s useful in the cases where you don’t want it to download old seasons, or when you KNOW all current releases are bogus and rather handle that episode manually.
