Housekeeping of backup ZIP files

Is there a setting somewhere that house-keeps the backup ZIP files please ??

If not, could a setting be added for either the amount to be retained, or the number of days an ZIP has to be before it’s deleted ??

As I am on the develop release, I get quite a lot of backup files (25 at the last count  ), so an auto-tidy would be nice.

Thanks.

It cleans them up after 28 days.

OK, thanks for the information.

Hey @markus101, I just noticed that I still have backup files from july 7th, so more than 28 days.

What should I be looking at in the log for the process that cleans them up, and when does it trigger? Daily? Every time drone is started?
Then I can keep an eye on it and hopefully see why it fails.

Thirrian, the backup runs once a week, so it’s safe to say the cleanup does as well.
Come back in a week, and really, don’t worry about it.

You’ll see more backups on the dev-branch, coz there are also backups made during update. The cleanup for those backups is run when the next backup of that type is made.

And yes, that’s a good thing, coz that means you’ll always have a backup of before the previous update.

Gotcha Taloth, makes perfect sense now.

I’m not worried about the number of backups, the more the better I always say
I just thought that “hmm, maybe something’s wrong because I still have >28 days old scheduled backups”.

Apologies for bumping an old thread.

But are there any options for storing the backup file in a different path.
Ideally I would like to store it independent of the machine running Sonarr.

This would ensure my backup is not lost / if when my BananaPi flash card becomes corrupted.

If its not an option I’m happy to script a copy of the backup files to another host.

Not currently, but something we’re talking about.
