Help I dont know what I am doing

So I have done the setup. All the checks work and there are no known errors.
I searched for a series on Sonarr and it then seemed to be downloading in SABnzbd and from there I have no files.
I have checked the completed file directory, nothing. While it was downloading I could see activity in the incomplete directory.

So what happened? where did my downloads go?

Also is there a resource that can talk me through using sonarr (not setup). It all feels a little daunting to figure out.

Thanks

If you have configured sonarr to remove completed downloads, it also clears the sabnzbd logs. Only way to check is in the history section of the activity log in sonarr.

The complete file should have been transfered to the folder you set your series to.

They not in the folder for series or where I expected it to be. Where would I check this?
Why would that be?

Your first stop should be to check Activity->History AND System->Logs in Sonarr as Mirx suggested.

I’ve done that. The records are there.
I’ve gone to the logs to, but without knowing what I am suppose to look for there, I have no idea.

Need a little more than look at system logs.

Which records are there in history? Grabbed event, Import, Failed? what kind of records?

As for logs, you look for errors. You can even filter System->Logs on Warn/Error and such.

Grabbed are there 8 of them and then some failed.
No errors found in the logs

If there is a successful download for one of the grabs, press the black “i” icon. The “Imported To” will be the directory where Sonarr placed the file.

You might want to start with disabling the history removal to get a better feel for what is happening. It’s under Settings --> Download Client.

My settings are exactly that.
However, mine just says grabbed, nothing imported.
So I dont see the screen shot yours has.

What do you see when you click on the white i in the black circle on the right side?

I hope I understood correct. This is what I see:

Well offhand, as far as I know Giganews has the longest retention (at 2567 I think) so I don’t think any usenet provider would have the articles for that NZB. It should be showing up as a failed download.
