I did a bit of searching but didn’t find my answer yet. I had an HD crash, so I had to move my NZBget folder to a new location. I use DOG and Plex to complete the setup, yet Sonar is giving me fits after some of my re-downloads. Is there a way to get Sonar to check my new location or get it to clear what’s in its memory so to speak?! I like the fact its tells me what I had but I’m afraid to wipe out that knowledge!
Sonarr will automatically refresh the information on disk if the series folder exists, since the drive failed and its now in a new location you will need to update the path for each series using Series Editor.
If you want Sonarr to recreate the missing (empty) series folders you can enable that in settings, if you prefer to have Sonarr knowing what you had it you will likely need to manually search and grab episodes because the cutoff has already been met as Sonarr still thinks the file exists.
So its history showed it was downloaded even after the change. I was able to redownload the missing files to the new directory, yet sonar still sees them as missing. Am I missing something simple?!
Did you tell Sonarr where the new series folder is? If they were moved outside of Sonarr did you rescan the series folder?
hmm I think I see the error of my ways. In my anger of the HD loss, I created a whole new plex dir. I see some of my BBC TimeShift stuff in the timeshift folder, but the other downloads have gone to TV_documentary and or TV_HD. I was so pissed to get my stuff back that maybe I am going to many different ways via dog and nzb get to get them back! Is there a good guide on folder structure I should read? I am assuming I can move them and rescan so Sonar sees them proper?
The structure that Plex relies on should be sufficient, in Sonarr it correlates to:
Root Folder\Series Folder
TV_documentary
and TV_HD
would be root folders in the structure/
Use Series Editor to change the root folder to point the appropriate series and the correct root folders or you could remove all the series from Sonarr and import them as existing series using the root folders, but thats a lot more work and there is no need to.
To test this, I have moved the TV_created episodes into folders by year and moved them accordingly. A refresh of Sonar now sees them as proper in the series dashboards. I still think if I grab stuff via nzbget I mess things up. The better way would be to do manual search then to fill the gaps? Thanks for the sanity check Markus!
