OK, using the IP eliminates THAT error, but now I can’t get past “Authentication failure”.
I tried the username/password I use for the transmission web interface.
I tried the username/password I use as a local user on the server
I tried the username/password that are listed in ~/.config/transmission/settings.json (it shows “rpc-username” and “rpc-password”)
There’s a hint that I should also check the whitelists, and they are “true” and “192.168..”, which certainly covers my network.
I even tried setting rpc-authentication-required to false and it still fails with the same error.
