American Dad has been released in a different order than it was aired.
Obviously this has resulted in some problems in downloading entire seasons.
How would I go about defining my own number for American Dad! I was looking at thexem.de but couldn’t figure out how to link it into nzbdrone.
drone already pulls in the mappings from thexem.de and uses them when importing new downloads or when determining if a particular release is needed. They are not used when scanning existing sorted episodes.
drone also renames the downloads on import to match the tvdb numbering (for use with XBMC and other media players that rely on that ordering).
Entire seasons have always been a mess, sometimes they’re released in DVD ordering and sometimes include extra files that were aired in other seasons (or are bonus), which is why I personally don’t grab for season releases.
Thanks for the quick reply, it did work correctly except for one season which happened to be the one I tested it on.
I’m re-downloading the season now.
All fixed.
what season was messed up? wonder if i have to go through and watch each one to make sure it is labeled correctly. i do get the dvd rips.
So guys, anybody care to explain how this works?
I just added American Dad! for download in nzbdrone, and it started download S9 and S8.
Since I know what’s been going on with sickbeard all along (and, btw, that’s the main reason why I switched to NZBDrone) I went to watch S09E01 and S08E01. They were named like this, but the content was actually TVDB’s S09E01 and S10E01.
So, apparently all that XEM magic (or whatever its name is) didn’t really work out.
The question is, how do I fix this mess (if there’s a way, that is)?
Thanks for your help.
Drone lists the shows episodes using the tvdb 's numbering. It uses thexem to map them to the scene numbering (user contributed), for American Dad the mapping is here:http://thexem.de/xem/show/778
American Dad is linked by absolute numbering, which links tvdb s10e01 to the scenes s09e01. Once your download client drops an episode in the drone factory folder, drone will treat it as being scene numbered, and during the rename process it will rename it to match tvdb 's numbering, which will then work with XBMC and Plex.
If drone didn’t rename and sort the episodes (SAB sorted them for example) then that would cause this, or if they were downloaded before the the mappings were grabbed from xem (not very likely).
The easiest way to correct it would be to put the scene named files in the drone factory folder and have drone sort them, renaming them to tvdb numbering.
OK, setting the script in the sabnzbd to none seems to cut it, S10E04 got downloaded as S09E04 but then was saved right.
Why didn’t it pick up the sub that was included in the release, though?
As in an .srt or.sub file?
Currently only the video files are moved, not a lot of people have requested them to be moved, but its on our Trello board: https://trello.com/c/IzNiSitU/230-move-additional-files
