Hi,
Sonarr is great at refreshing infos and metadata on TV shows / Animes.
But when a previous file exists in the serie folder for a picture, it won’t overwrite it when it detects a new one. It will only update its internal database and uses it for its own display.
I would like to know if I can force Sonarr to also refresh / update pictures on my hard drive when a new one is found from the scrapers?
Or even better, if there is an option to ask Sonarr to do that every time?
An example:
- On 2014, new serie “ABCD” is announced.
I add it to Sonarr and Sonarr grabs first versions of metadatas. As there are not much infos on this show, pictures for fanart/season art/etc are quite blanks…
Kodi uses these pictures to add the show to its database also… - Few weeks later, the show starts, fanart/poster/etc are updated on various sites (tvdb,…) and Sonarr refreshes its own database… but not the pictures previously written on hdd, and thus Kodi keeps the old ones.
To force Kodi to update its picture database, I either have to force a refresh “online” (I don’t want, I want it to keep using files on hdd) or delete all metadata in the show folder, then ask Sonarr to “update series info and scan disk” (updated infos will be written to hdd) and then Kodi will be able to use them… - On 2015, season 2 is announced… Again, fanarts, posters are updated… and I have to do a manual update again!
Wouldn’t it be nice for the updates to be automatic as all the info are already grabbed by Sonarr?
Thank you!
