File Path Not Found

Sonarr version (exact version): 2.0.0.4689
Mono version (if Sonarr is not running on Windows): 3.2.8
OS: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
Description of issue:
The directory “/home/plex/media/TV Shows” exists on my server, but when adding the path for a new series, the media directory is missing. I was hoping someone on here might have some ideas. I just downloaded Sonarr for the first time. I’m thinking it could be a permissions issue? For installing Sonarr I followed this guide with some modifications since I’m using Upstart instead of systemd.

EDIT: If you need more information, let me know. If it’s unclear what I am talking about, have a look at these images.

First off, update mono, 3.2.8 is not supported.

Is Sonarr running as the plex user?
What permissions are on the folder that is missing ls -l from /home/plex will show them.

3.2.8 must have been suported at one time since i’m following a guide. All the directories were plex:plex w/ drwxrwxr-x. I say ‘were’ because I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 and am starting from scratch.

3.2.8 was supported a long time ago, but it hasn’t been for more than a year.
