File detected as Sample when not

Sonarr version: 2.0.0.4326

OS: Win 10 x64

Debug:
[Debug] VideoFileInfoReader: Getting media info from D:\tv\Marvels.Luke.Cage.S01E02.1080p.WEBRip.x264-SKGTV\marvels.luke.cage.s01e02.1080p.webrip.x264-skgtv.mkv
[Error] DetectSample: [D:\tv\Marvels.Luke.Cage.S01E02.1080p.WEBRip.x264-SKGTV\marvels.luke.cage.s01e02.1080p.webrip.x264-skgtv.mkv] has a runtime of 0, is it a valid video file?

Description of issue:
Sonarr detect file as sample when not. Images explains it all.

Suggestion:
Sonarr should also check file size if “media info” returns runtime 0

And then? blindly let it through? Of course not

Best course of action is investigate why mediainfo doesn’t work on that file and get mediainfo fixed. So just check with the latest libmediainfo/mediainfo version whether the cmdline tool returns runtime information.

Blindly? LOL a close to 5 GB file can’t be a sample ^^ (for a tv show)
That you guys would investigate why mediainfo that sonarr uses, did not work. I took for granted…

Actually that file was no good. Mediainfo couldn’t get any info cause it was corrupted. Try to play it and you will see that nothing will play it… Not Kodi, not MPC, not VLC

Plays just fine, MediaInfo works as well. . .

Here’s the ID, you probably got some spam or your download failed.

S01E02.1080p-SKGTV got nuked for being a bad mux, with hardly any players being able to play it and even mkvtoolnix having trouble with listing the tracks. DEFLATE released a PROPER.

you are right, a proper was downloaded

Marvels.Luke.Cage.S01E02.PROPER.1080p.WEBRip.X264-DEFLATE

good then, all sorted out.
