Firstly, thankyou for NzbDrone. I only recently stumbled across it as a possible alternative to Sickbeard and I won’t be going back!
Secondly, my apologies if this is in the wrong place but I have searched around and can’t seem to find a discussion on the issue I seem to be having.
Everything works perfectly except handling of failed downloads which don’t seem to be getting recognised at all. I use SAB and all the required settings in NzbDrone are turned on. I get quite a few failed downloads, mostly when looking for past episodes but my blacklist remains empty. I have scanned through the log to try and determine what might be the cause but I don’t see any mention of FailedDownloadService. Am I missing something?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Try enabling trace logging, as it will show more details in the logs.
What version of SAB?
Are you using API Key or Username and Password Auth with SAB?
When drone adds a nzb to SAB it asks for the ID of that nzb in SAB, if SAB does not return it then failed download handling is not possible, I have seen instances where it is not returned, but I’m not sure why.
If your password contains special characters it will likely cause issues. It’s recommended that you use the api key instead of user name and password (even if yo have username and password enabled on Sab the api key will work).
Updating SAB has done the trick! I’ve also removed password authentication from drone just to be sure. Thanks for the help.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the software improves, especially with the possibility of film integration. It’s great as it is but if this eventually turned into an all in one for managing TV, film (and music?), I think the current mainstream alternatives will struggle to compete!
