This started happening this week, when the show airs and becomes available to download it will just mark itself as “missing” I decided it was time to make an account and post after finding that this might just be me. I gave it a few days to see if maybe it will fix itself but it doesn’t. Everything is toggled to be monitored
As you see below everything listed in the column for Thursday is showing as missing. I have taken Scandal (2012) as an example. I checked the history and it showing up as empty, and when i try to search for it manually it shows that its been available to download for 4.3 hours. If i hit automatic search it will just grab it. So its there, and it’s just not grabbing.
Again looking below Sunday - Wednesday minus two shows that are just not available, i had to go into the wanted section, place a check mark next to the series name/ series episode, and then choose search selected to grab everything. And then it will download and place in its rightful place.
RSS Sync service doesn’t seem to grab anything either, i placed that screenshot below there also.
I went ahead and did an automatic search for Scandal and posted the logs for that along with the info from when it grabbed
Other than that i haven’t touched any settings since setting it up, i add shows and just wait for them to download. But now i have to manually add shows. I have already tried restarting Sonarr a few times, but still no change.
1.Everything in the screenshot is monitored, and all the current seasons of shows in screenshot are monitored.
2. I’m not sure what that means.
3. which url? the on in my screenshot? it takes me directly to the page to download.
Sonarr is basically designed to run 24/7. For example, if you turn off the system running Sonarr at night for 8 hours, and the dog rss feed only gives 5 hours worth of results (normally limited to x results), Sonarr won’t know what was add in the missing 3 hours. If the result you need is in those 3 hours, Sonarr will never automatically download it, because it doesn’t know it was there (there is a search fail-safe in place, but no guarantees).
No, you need to check the log files, and see which url is utilized to query the RSS feed. The url in your screenshots is just the location of the NZB. Next to the url, you can find the RSS processing in the logs (if debug is enabled), which will show you if a result was found, and why it was rejected.
okay Sonarr is running on a machine that never shuts off, also running 24/7
I set the logs to debug under logging and this is what i get when i run a rss sync. I left a show that i dont really care for as missed. There are 3 files avaible on DOG. 2 of which are 720 and 1 is SD. Show is monitored.
They all look the same so i dont know what i am doing wrong to see what was found and why anything was rejected
Nope. According to what i see under the logs. its only set to 100 when it searches. But on Dog’s site the rss is like 9000. Is there a way to change that?
Sonarr fetches the RSS feed every 15 minutes (by default), which will contain the last 100 releases (the maximum number of releases newznab sites return via the API), those 100 releases will span more than 15 minutes so you don’t need more than that.
The Series AND episode need to be monitored, the season will likely be monitored, but its possible to unmonitor the season and still monitor the episode (but make sure the series and episode are monitored).
If its still not working hastebin debug logs of an RSS sync that contains a release that should have been grabbed (not any RSS sync, one that contains a wanted episode in a wanted quality).
Series is monitored
Season is monitored
Episodes are monitored
I searched the RSS Sync for all of the missed shows for today. None were showing up in the RSS. I went into the wanted and clicked search all missing, and then everything then grabbed.
What do you mean you searched the RSS Sync for today?
Do you have debug logging enabled?
Do you have RSS enabled for your indexers in Sonarr (inside of Sonarr)?
Does Sonarr show it processing results when you running a RSS Sync?
I cleared it for today is what i meant. So tomorrow i’ll have to try again. Yes everything that needs to be enabled is enabled. It just stopped working last week out of the blue and hasn’t been the same since.
Is Dog your only indexer? They’ve had issues before where their RSS feed returning 0 results due to load, it’d definitely be worth picking up another indexer.
Yep it seems to be a case with dog. I just searched all the shows the aired today in the RSSsync. None of them were in there. i guess i need to check their forum to see whats happening.
nice topic. I have the exact same problem with a show, The Mindy Project which is on streaming in HULU and it gets delayed releases.
I have the RSS sync every 90 minutes which i now read it is too much as it is probably loosing entries. I now reduce it to 30 minutes and lets see if that was the issue
