I’ve got Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. monitoring, and while I can see new upcoming episodes when I browse to the series, they don’t show up in the calendar at all.
This appears to be the only show that I have with this issue.
I’ve verified that the monitoring flag is set, and new episodes do get downloaded. It’s just not showing in the calendar.
Yes, everywhere I can see, it shows up as monitored. When I browse to the series in Sonarr, it shows the upcoming episodes on that screen, and they get downloaded automatically, but they’re not appearing in the calendar.
See attached screenshots. It should show up on Tuesdays.
It doesn’t look like it is monitored. Do you see the little Flag next to where it says Season 3, for all of my shows, when they are monitored, it is filled in Black, not empty white. Change that and see if it helps
Update: digging around on the show page, I toggled the individual episode monitoring flag, and that worked. Then I noticed that the season wasn’t monitored.
I guess this is an interface question then - why would a Series be set as monitored, but the latest season and episodes not? I’m 99% sure I wouldn’t have manually toggled these. In the 2nd screenshot above, you can see that I have the series being monitored, but none of the seasons (and thus, the episodes) monitored. Why is that combination allowed?
*feedback - the monitor flag alt-text only says “click to toggle monitored status”. It might be more clear for it to indicate in text whether the the flag is currently set to monitored or unmonitored.
Series and Episode monitoring are independent. The series and the episode need to be monitored for it to be downloaded (and show on the calendar).
You can monitor the series and unmonitor one or more episodes/seasons that you don’t want Sonarr to manage, since monitoring means it can upgrade anything that hasn’t met the cutoff or grab it if it is missing.
Personally I think this UX is awful, Android used to do it everywhere and it was very unclear if its present state or alternate state. We’ve gone with: filled in = monitoring, outline only = unmonitored.
