Episodes disappearing

For some reason I have a show where the downloads disappears soon after having been downloaded.
Ind the debug, I found the following which is an example of one of the deleted files,

Recycling Bin has not been configured, deleting permanently. /Volumes/Lager/Video/TV/Seriesname/Season 15/Seriesname - S15E02 - episodename WEBDL-720p.mkv

Any idea what could be wrong or what kind of information I could add to this question?

Configure a folder as the Sonarr Recycling Bin.

You can configure it under Settings->Media Management.

It will catch all deletions.

It may well be the scene mapping that is renaming/moving/deleting downloads?

This will also occur on propers and episode upgrades (720p–>1080p, etc).

If you check the Activity for that episode (or history to see everything), it will tell you why it was removed.

The activity note says:
"File was deleted to import an upgrade"
It is the same message for all episodes of Mythbusters.
However, It shouldn’t want to upgrade as I downloading using the 720p profile.
In this profile, I have set cutoff to web-dl, which is the lowest setting on the 720p profile.
Also, the mentioned upgrade is never downloaded.

The fact that WEBDL 720p is the lowest tells me the profile has been updated, could you post a screenshot of what it looks like now?

What does the full activity show (Screenshot please)?

The only way I could possibly see an episode getting deleted with that message and not being replaced would be if it was a double episode, which this one was not.

Make sure your ordering looks like this:

I manually created mine but that order above DOES matter.

IE: Grab HDTV 720p, then web 720p, then bd. It’ll skip any below if matched better above.

In other words, it will grab a web 720p as opposed to HDTV if both are available.

Ok, so I have now set mine accordingly, but with a cut-off of HDTV, as I am ok with that quality.
However, the problem remains. and the episodes are deleted. But apparently not the latest episode.
And it still doesn’t download/import (I am not sure what the difference is) any “upgrades”.

Can you try making a new profile for this series and have it to only HDTV? I’m not 100% sure what’s going on other than it appears to be ignoring the cut-off and attempting an upgrade.

Here’s an example of the profile. I’m actually using this for some shows I don’t watch (aka: my wife’s)

Ok, so I made de exact samt setup.
But the episodes keep being deleted due to upgrades, even though only one quality is wanted: HDTV-720p.

I’d post debug logs. Maybe one of the devs could see exactly what’s going on with it. I know for a fact that it shouldn’t replace a WEB-DL with an HDTV release.

Yes, definitely need debug logs to get an idea why its deleting them.

This is literally the only thread about this I can find anywhere. I seem to be having the same issue. I’ve not modified any of the profiles or quality settings.

Each time this episode is deleted it says that “File was deleted to import an upgrade”

Here’s some logs and I’ve noticed that it seems to only happen to files that are named b00bs.mkv or b00bies.mkv… I’ve seen some talk about things like files having trouble that are named 123.mkv or abc.mkv but I don’t really know how to go about addressing this.

Please pastebin debug logs.

Also I think I’m onto why this is happening. With so many releases now being called b00bies.mkv, b00bs.mkv, 123.mkv, etc… a season folder may already have a file like this in it.

I didn’t have episode renaming turned on however I just enabled it and am trying some episodes again after having renamed a few seasons of shows I’ve had issues with.

What are your media management settings set to?
Which version of Sonarr?
