Episode spanning multiple seasons

Morning,

I have an episode “Star.Trek.TNG.S03E26S04E01.mkv” and this is only being picked up as S03E26.

Is there something I need to change to get it to rename properly? EG. Star Trek- The Next Generation - S03E25S04E26 - The Best of Both Worlds.mkv"

Ps. I know I can just copy or symlink (Linux users) the files but would rather not do that, XBMC can detect the two episodes in one file.

Obviously being different seasons is the issue as mulitple episodes in the same season works:
Star Trek- The Next Generation - S07E25E26 - All Good Things…mkv

I’ve been thinking about this, and I’m not sure if it’s worth doing something with this, how often does it happen?

I’m actually surprised it happens at all. :stuck_out_tongue: How would Drone deal with this if you have season folders turned on? What folder would it put the file in and why?

Drone doesn’t support a file being part of multiple seasons. The filename itself may also be an issue (if they were part of the same season), since there is no break between the first episode and the second season.

You’ll either have to copy it, split it or find another release for the episodes.

I haven’t watched it yet, so not sure if it’s one long episode (will have to check, hopefully it has credits in the middle).

Also all the versions of the episode I have tried to find have been the two episodes together, which is why I was asking.

Thanks

I’ll try a hardlink in the two folders.

Actually completely forgot about this issue  It ended up being a long episode, and I hard-linked them  but thank you for the suggestion @LordFernando

You’re welcome, i got this issue this week, so ended up here.
Thank you!
