Epic Fail! on launch. Windows 8.1

tinyloCResolutionException: Unable to resolve type: NzbDrone.host.owin.middleware.NancyMiddleWare

That is the error I get when launching. Checked for extra task running - nope. The program closes properly when I press ok.

I don’t know how to pull logs. If you need them, I’d need to know how to pull them.

Yes, need log files, the location is covered on the wiki: https://github.com/NzbDrone/NzbDrone/wiki/Log-Files

I found that directory, but I don’t know what to do. Tons of text in multiple text files. Easiest way to get these to you?

Seems the latest update is causing you issues (nothing changed in the startup routine though).

I’d suggest uninstalling and then re-installing drone with the latest installer.

Can I do that without backing up my data? If I uninstall, will it leave my data there? If not, what should I copy to ensure all my data stays intact? Thanks!

Uninstalling does not change the stored data. If you want to take a backup to can: https://github.com/NzbDrone/NzbDrone/wiki/Backup-and-Restore

Well, it’s launching again. I get some errors on startup, but I don’t know what they are or if they really matter. I was getting errors before and it was still working, so I didn’t bother worrying about it. I’ll keep an eye on it over the next few days to see if it is working again. Thanks for your help.

Okay, nope. Didn’t work. How do I properly uninstall?

What errors are you getting now?
Did it start once?
What do you mean properly uninstall, you can do it from Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

It doesn’t show up in programs and features. I checked there. It starts now, but I’m getting many errors. I am sure I didn’t uninstall correctly. All I did was uninstall service from program data folder and then ran the latest installer.

Your database looks to be corrupt, its missing things that should have been there in the last release as well. Assuming everything was working before the upgrade (you mentioned other errors, so maybe not). You can restore fromt he backup created during the upgrade, running as a service the backup of nzbdrone.db should be here: C:\\Windows\\Temp\ zbdrone_update\ zbdrone_appdata_backup

You can follow the backup and restore wiki article on how to restore it.

That folder doesn’t exist for me. What is the minimal data I can save so my shows and episodes are saved. I don’t care about the settings. I can always fix that. I just care about the shows. I’ll backup those and delete everything i can find for nzbdrone and then reinstall…?

Also, my shows show up at first and then after a while of errors, they all go away. Really, something is very wrong and I need to start over. Just hoping I don’t have to start from scratch.

shows/episodes/settings (except for a few settings) all exist in same database.

Looking at the error again, its looking for something that was removed some time ago, did you install the latest from the website or use whatever installer you had lying around? Get the latest installer from http://nzbdrone.com because it looks like you installed a really old version.

I installed from the website, but I didn’t uninstall properly so that might have been why.

I can’t find shows/episodes/settings…

I’ve got NzbDrone reinstalled. Version 2.0.0.1236. However, the folder in programdata is different than the one I saved. So I don’t know what to copy. Neither of them have a folder called shows.
