Duplicates being downloaded

Hi,

I am having an issue where duplicate episodes of the same profile quality are being downloaded for multiple TV Shows. Some of my pertinent settings are:

  • Ignore deleted episodes = “No”
  • Download Propers = “No”
  • Complete download handling = “Yes”
  • Sonarr is installed on a different PC to the PC hosting the media but both PC’s are on 24/7.

They are named two different ways, do you have something else grabbing files?

What does the Episode Activity show for that episode?

Without logs and other basic info (Sonarr version) we can’t really offer any suggestions. You definitely want to turn on debug logs to add more details to the logs.

OK,

So i found another folder with extra episodes in it. I deleted the extra episodes and then unmonitored that particular season since all episodes were available leaving the original episodes in the folder like so:

The logs dont show anything to my untrained eye since these extras were downloaded some time ago and i cant find the relevant section in the pages and pages of logs. I am thinking it might be something to do with my quality settings though?

Since some extras are being replaced with higher qualities (although not always). Does this sound plausible for my issue? What settings should I employ in Quality? I am happy to only have SD downloads. Can someone provide my with their working settings such that SD will be downloaded over and above HD?

I will clear my logs now and wait for this to happen again so i can find the relevant section in the logs easier next time.

PS. I don’t have any other programs grabbing files, I use sonarr and SAB and that’s it

You need to setup your profile to put SD above HD: https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/wiki/Profiles

If an upgrade is found the existing file is deleted, and if that fails the new file isn’t imported.
