I currently use Sonarr to move files from a download folder to my media folder and rename the file. I’d love to use Radarr too. All done automatically.
I use the Drone Factory as I download the TV files in a virtual box linux VM that shares this windows location. File are automatically dowloaded into this folder.
However this will not work once you remove drone factory as I can’t import files from a folder as far as I can work out.
Is this just not going to work now? Or am I missing some setup?
I believe you are correct. You’re only using Sonarr for half it’s capability (only using it to move/rename files and not manage downloading) and it’s being designed going forward assuming you have it handling both.
You’ll still be able to manually import from an arbitrary directory, but Sonarr won’t be polling a Drone Factory folder going forward.
What’s stopping you from configuring Sonarr to coordinate with your downloader in the VM so that you don’t even need the Drone Factory functionality?
